About the Fire Protection District
The Rockland FPD is a unit of government authorized to levy taxes for the purpose of providing fire and emergency protection. The FPD has a three-person board and meets regularly to review the expenses and needs of the District.
Fire Protection Services
The Fire Protection District contracts with the Libertyville and Lake Forest fire departments to provide services. The Libertyville Fire Department services the area north of the railroad tracks; Lake Forest responds to calls south of the tracks.
